- 3. Cooling-off runs 10 business days. Change your mind in that window and nothing happens.
- 4. Transfer completes in days with a smart meter, otherwise at the next scheduled read.
- 5. Final bill arrives from the old retailer. Pay it; any credit is refunded.
Things worth checking before you sign
- Exit fees: rare on market offers now, but check your current contract's fine print.
- Conditional discounts: "12% off for pay-on-time" evaporates the month life gets busy. Prefer honestly-priced base rates.
