Is it safe to upload my energy bill?

The whole pipeline, in order

• 1. Your file arrives over an encrypted connection and lands in the memory of one request, not in a storage bucket.
• 2. AI reads the numbers. Rates, usage, billing period, tariff type, solar export. The extraction schema literally has no fields for your name, address or account number, so they're never captured.
• 3. The file is discarded. When the request finishes, about 30 seconds later, the file ceases to exist. There is no copy to breach later.
• 4. Only the structured numbers remain, used to build your report and (for members) to keep re-checking your deal each quarter.

Why we built it this way

Partly principle, partly self-interest: a pile of stored bills is a liability we’d have to defend forever. The safest bill database is the one that doesn’t exist. Our revenue is your annual membership, not your data, and not retailer commissions.

Questions worth asking anyone you upload a bill to

• Is the file stored anywhere, even “temporarily”? For how long?
• Do they extract your identity details, or just the energy numbers?
• Who pays them: you, or the retailers they recommend?
• Can you get your data deleted, and how fast?

Our answers: not stored · numbers only · you pay us · deletion within 30 days of asking (usually same-day). The formal version lives in the privacy policy.
